A great explanation of what a firestorm is
Joe Rhode explains what fuels a firestorm and why they are so hard to defeat and quench, no matter how many helicopters you fly over them and how many gallons of water you dump and spray.
Be There for the Swear
If I don ‘t get snowed in on the east coast over Thanksgiving, I swear I will be back in Malibu by December 2 for the official swearing in.
Be there, for the swear!
Hey, Man. What’s Your Sign?!?!?!
Headed home for Thanksgiving. My dad still lives in the Coney Island apartment where I grew up.
He says he’s proud of me, but we will see about that.
What is the saying: “It’s okay to look back if only to see how far you’ve come?”
There was a time when I thought I would be in Coney Island my whole life.
But things twisted and turned from east to west, and now I’m going back east to be with family.
They say weather is coming to the east coast.
I’ll be back in time to be sworn in on December 2 - I hope.
Hate to miss that.
Happy Thanksgiving and thanks to all of you who supported me!
I’ll do my best to honor you.
Desert Reset

And because this is the 21st Century I drove inland 60 miles to Palm Springs to press that button.
