What would May do? Just as May Rindge was not trained or experienced to run an empire, so is Haylynn not trained or experienced to be on the City Council. But she has the brains and will to learn.

She was a model, you know what I mean?
Approached by a model scout as a Goth, 15-year-old skater chick, Haylynn wanted nothing to do with modeling. Then ended up doing it for 16+ years.

Haylynn learned to surf along the beaches of Malibu, at Old Joes and Colony Reef and Zuma and Dume.
John "Turtle" Philbin was one of her surf instructors. And her husband Andy and friend Marshall Coben.
She learned how to ride the tube at Kelly Slater's Surf Ranch in Lemoore - more than a hundred miles from the ocean.
And she learned good!

She got barreled, and got cocky in New Guinea. And then she bounced off the reef and got paid.
Back to Coney Island for Thanksgiving. Apparently transporting subversive materials in full public view is not a federal crime.
